In this first hands-on session, you'll master the building blocks of successful quilting:

Color theory and fabric selection: Learn to choose complementary fabrics that bring your vision to life

Essential tools mastery: Get comfortable with rotary cutters, specialized rulers, and cutting mats

Precise cutting techniques: Achieve professional-looking results through accurate measurement and cutting

Materials know-how: Understand different types of thread, needles, and batting, and when to use each

Safety and best practices: Learn proper tool handling for enjoyable, safe quilting

Perfect for: Complete beginners who want to explore quilting in a supportive, step-by-step environment. No prior sewing or quilting experience needed.

What to expect: Hands-on instruction, personalized guidance, and the satisfaction of starting your first quilting project with confidence.

Bring your own machine.  A list of recommended supplies will be provided during class.  Receive a 10% discount on supplies bought during class.

You may bring a lunch and or snacks.  We have sodas, bottled water and chips available for .50 cents.  Small refrigerator available for use.

Cancellation Policy

Thank you for signing up for a class at Sewcial Creatives.  To be respectful of our teachers the following cancellation policy will be strictly adhered to. 

In the event that you are unable to attend the class, you must cancel 7 days prior to class to receive a FULL refund or store credit.

If you cancel between 6 and 4 days prior to class date, there is a 50% forfeiture fee and you will receive store credit only for the difference.  

If you cancel 3 days or less prior to class, your fee is 100% forfeited.
