One Day Shoe Workshop

Ready to make your own unique, one-of-a-kind quilted sneakers?!  Choose your fabrics to reflect your personal style or make a statement!  Class will include a full day of step-by-step instructions. You will cut and finish your quilted components, install eyelets, and use traditional shoemaking techniques to attach your beautiful, quilted uppers to high-quality sneaker soles . Items provided are pattern, needle, wax thread and setting tools.

* You MUST have your quilted sandwich completed prior to class.  This means to have ready 1/3 yard exterior shoe fabric with ByAnnie Soft N Stable or Bosal In-R-Form in the middle and lining shoe fabric layered and quilted.  NOTE – If you plan on fussy cutting your placement, or you wear a size 41 or larger, bring a 1/2 yard quilted sandwich instead.  Please come to an open sew day if you need help with your sandwich.

* I will need your sole size and color choice by Tuesday 11/12.  Please email me as soon as you purchase the course.  You will have a choice of black or white and will need to locate your size below converted in the EU column, email me at shop@sewcialcreatives.com.

Other supplies to bring:

• Bias binding, pre-cut at 1.75” wide; folded in half, wrong sides together and ironed.  They can be 4 strips at least 20” in length each.

• Sewing machine with manual

• Scissors for fabric and for paper

• Matching thread for bias binding

• Flower push pins

• Wonder clips

• Thimble

• Fabric marking pen or pencil

• Fray check

• Stiletto

• Sneaker laces – 45” for lower and mid sneakers, 60” for hi-top sneakers (Laces will be available for purchase if you can't find any).

Bring your own machine.

Class is taught by Belinda Green.

You may bring a lunch and or snacks.  We have sodas, bottled water and chips available for .50 cents.  Small refrigerator available for use.

Cancellation Policy

Thank you for signing up for a class at Sewcial Creatives.  To be respectful of our teachers the following cancellation policy will be strictly adhered to. 

In the event that you are unable to attend the class, you must cancel 7 days prior to class to receive a FULL refund or store credit.

If you cancel between 6 and 4 days prior to class date, there is a 50% forfeiture fee and you will receive store credit only for the difference.  

If you cancel 3 days or less prior to class, your fee is 100% forfeited.
