Funky Faces - Collage
Custom Collage Class
A full day workshop where you where learn to design and create your own unique piece!
What will your face look like? Maybe a favorite hobby? Color? Flower? Maybe features of someone you know! The possibilities are endless! Use the sample as a jumping off point for ideas and to help you think of fabric choices.
During workshop you will:
- Design your face (using templates provided in class)
- Fuse fabrics and start assembly
- Receive instructions on how to quilt it, and what thread to choose.
- See a demo on different methods to add shading.
Supply List:
Misty Fuse – 1 yard
1 Fat quarter – background fabric
Fabric scraps –
Larger piece for skin & face
Small pieces for eyes, nose, lips, cheeks, shirt, hair, etc. Think outside the box and bring
multiple choices
Tip – choose 5 or 6 different fabrics for hair
Silicone fusing mat or ironing applique sheet
Karen Kay Buckley Scissors (or small sharp scissors)
Paper scissors
Pencil
Eraser
Black fine point sharpie
Small iron and pad
Freezer paper

You may bring a lunch and or snacks. We have sodas, bottled water and chips available for .50 cents. Small refrigerator available for use.
Bring your own machine.
Class is taught by Pattie Gardebled.
Pattie Gardebled is a lifelong sewing enthusiast and artist who in the past 3 years has combined the two into making art quilts. Her piece “Unknown Flightpath” traveled in the Monarch Cherrywood challenge. In November 2024 “Mom’s Cottage Quilt” hung in the juried selection of the International Quilt Festival in Houston. She lives in Spring, Texas.
Cancellation Policy
Thank you for signing up for a class at Sewcial Creatives. To be respectful of our teachers the following cancellation policy will be strictly adhered to.
In the event that you are unable to attend the class, you must cancel 7 days prior to class to receive a FULL refund or store credit.
If you cancel between 6 and 4 days prior to class date, there is a 50% forfeiture fee and you will receive store credit only for the difference.
If you cancel 3 days or less prior to class, your fee is 100% forfeited.
